Greens candidate demands the state initiate brainwashing to force Catholic staff and students to believe in what the Greens believe.
In a chilling example of things to come in Australia, Greens candidate, Martine Delaney, is using anti-discrimination laws to try to silence a legitimate view of marriage which has for thousands of years been considered to be truth. "She said some of the content of a Catholic booklet defending marriage breached a section of Tasmania's Anti-Discrimination Act, making it illegal to insult offend or humiliate an individual or group on the basis of a listed attribute.
The booklet also accurately cautioned that if marriage was redefined, supporters of traditional marriage would be characterised as bigots and could run foul of the law.
In her complaint, Ms Delaney argued that some freedoms are not absolute, and that in a secular society religious freedom must sometimes give way to the law.
Ms Delaney said she wanted the Catholic Church in Tasmania to implement a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex awareness program for all staff and students within the Catholic education system.
It is now charged that such a totalitarian re-education indoctrination program would not only insult, offend and humiliate the staff and students Delaney wants to try to brainwash, but it would effectively be an attempt to force them to deny their God and swear allegiance to the false gods of secular humanism.
Delaney's reporting of Julian Porteous, and her threat to insist that the state brainwash its citizens and force them to worship some strange gods, is considered discrimination against Australian citizens of good conscience who are after all only defending a view long held by society, and still held as truth by millions of Australians (no matter what the main stream media may tell you otherwise).
Every child comes from and needs BOTH a mother and a father. Same-sex "marriage" intentionally keeps either a mother or a father from the child. Government should protect the child through upholding traditional marriage.
There is “a time to be silent, and a time to speak”. (Ecclesiastes 3:7). Now is the time to speak, so please speak up and defend children, truth and freedom.
