A message from Sophie York from Marriage Alliance:
What are the potential repercussions of changing the Marriage Act in Australia? Changing any law has consequences for the whole community and the marriage law is no different. I often ask myself what a redefinition of marriage would mean for the individual, the family, and society as a whole. I know that the consequences of such a change would be far-reaching.
This week, we highlight the rights which may be — and already are — at stake as a result of changing views on gender, free speech, parenting, sexuality, and more, and we show how children are being used to score political points. In the name of progress and to protect their extreme agendas, the Left seeks to revoke freedoms that form the basis of Australian society. Where’s the progress in that?
Take a few minutes to read the pieces below, and let us know what you think. I believe that knowing the facts, and discussing these topics with people in your life, will help preserve the values that millions of Australians hold dear.

Every child comes from and needs BOTH a mother and a father. Same-sex "marriage" intentionally keeps either a mother or a father from the child. Government should protect the child through upholding traditional marriage.
There is “a time to be silent, and a time to speak”. (Ecclesiastes 3:7). Now is the time to speak, so please speak up and defend children, truth and freedom. Craig Manners

True marriage offers true equality for children. Every child comes from and needs BOTH a Mum and a Dad. Every human being has dignity and deserves respect. All sorts of relationships can be respected at law without having to change marriage laws. In fact that has been the case legally for many years. The simple fact remains though that not every relationship is marriage.
