Call to Christians to wake up and start to be the Church.
Starting 2016 let the lessons of history and the power of God turn back the tide.
To coincide with the lead up to the national election in Australia on the 2nd July 2016 Christians around the world are asked to stand together on the 12th June 2016, to pray, to preach God's word and to boldly encourage all Christians to TAKE ACTION as the powerful body of Jesus Christ, to protect Australia from the attempt by the rainbow movement to destroy marriage and family and force gay sex education on Australian children.
Speak up. Speak loudly. Speak boldly. Not just once, but every week. It is God's word not man's. It has power. It cannot be silenced. It will not come back empty. In the name of Christ, stand up and speak! Tell the world: "In the name of Christ 'Stop' this tsunami of immorality and leave our children alone."
For too long the Church in the West has been too comfortable, too silent, too weak, too compromising. It is time for all Christian churches to be filled with the power of all of God's word to our world.
The majority of churches have been guilty of never having read out or preached on Genesis 19:1-29. Our society is now paying a price of this failure. BUT... God is merciful. The race is not finished yet, so let's preach it now as it has never been preached on earth.
Give prominence to the solution, the Gospel, that Jesus can wash us clean, no matter what we have done in the past. We are all sinners, every one of us, and Jesus has the power to save, forgive, heal, to lift burdens, to free from bondage. Just ask Him. But, confession and repentance (turning from sinful behavior) is required.
Read out Genesis chapter 19:1-29 to your congregations and preach on it. Include related passages and also preach a sermon series on marriage spread over a number of weeks. There is a lot of less than biblical thinking in our congregations (particularly are younger people) on this matter. Let God speak.
Pray for your civic leaders to do what all good magistrates should do, promote what is good and suppress what is evil.
Why not also then preach a series on Leviticus and spend a couple of weeks looking at the holiness code of Lev.18 and the links to Jesus teaching on 'porneia' in Matt. 5:32; 15:8-19 and 19:1-9 which every Jew understood was a referent for the holiness code of Lev.18.
Also Paul's language in 1Cor. 6:9 and 1 Tim 1:10 (arsenkoitai) which again is a reference to the LXX version of Lev.18:22 which means 'men who bed men' (a compound word made up of arsen=men and koiten=bed).
It is important we remind people that both Jesus and His apostles affirmed marriage and saw homosexuality as sexual immorality (porneia). Homosexuality like many other sins keeps people away from God. Encouraging this is not love.
It is obviously important to speak in measured words so that we do not unnecessarily offend those who are homosexuals, those who struggle with same-sex attraction or those who have family or friends who are homosexuals. Ultimately, we call them to repentance and faith in Jesus and model that grace in our preaching and applications.
Please spread a link to this site far and wide to all your Christian friends via email and social media. We do not love God or our neighbor by pretending that sinful behavior is good. Like the prophets of old, it is loving to bring the truth to people, not what they want to hear, but the truth. As the prophet Isaiah said, "They parade their sin like Sodom. They do not hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have brought disaster upon themselves." Isaiah 3:9
Stand up for God, for truth, for your children, your country and for freedom. The law is a teacher and shaper of society. The consequences of changing marriage are still not widely enough understood and hopefully with more mature debate, and resistance to the intimidation campaign of those who seek to shut down healthy debate and rush through such major social changes, we as a nation will be able to move forward with wisdom rather than emotion as our guide.
A possible series could look like:
Sermon 1: What God says about marriage. (Genesis 2:19 – 25 Matthew 19:1 – 12, Ephesians 5:22 – 33)
Sermon 2: What God says about sex. Song of Solomon
Sermon 3: What God says about sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:9 – 20)
Sermon 4: What God says about homosexuality (Leviticus 18 and Romans 1)
Sermon 5: What God says about equality and submission (Ephesians 5 and 1 Peter 2)

Every child comes from and needs BOTH a mother and a father. Same-sex "marriage" intentionally keeps either a mother or a father from the child. Government should protect the child through upholding traditional marriage.
There is “a time to be silent, and a time to speak”. (Ecclesiastes 3:7). Now is the time to speak, so please speak up and defend children, truth and freedom. Craig Manners
“What the world needs most is a voice that courageously speaks the truth, not when the world is right, but a voice that speaks the truth when the world is wrong.” Fulton Sheen
True marriage offers true equality for children. Every child comes from and needs BOTH a Mum and a Dad. Every human being has dignity and deserves respect. All sorts of relationships can be respected at law without having to change marriage laws. In fact that has been the case legally for many years. The simple fact remains though that not every relationship is marriage.
