If the Australian government changes the definition of marriage to pretend that a man can somehow suddenly now "marry" another man, why would our Asian, or other trading partners trust us anymore?
Surely it follows that if they see that we are willing to change the basic foundational norms of society to appease a loud minority group, who keep demanding that their unusual view of human sexuality should now be imposed on others, their confidence in Australia will be undermined in other areas, such as financial market regulation, debt repayment rules, etc. etc. There will be suspicions that the Australian government will change the rules of engagement at a whim because they no longer have any basis for upholding the basic building blocks of economies.
Why would we put this all at risk just to appease a media backed mob of bullies out to devastate our once young and free nation?
Marriage is just simply what it is, a special relationship between a man and a woman. It isn't two men together. That is something else, it is not marriage. No one is telling those people to stop doing what they are doing. They are already free to do what they like and to be responsible for any consequences of their actions. But in demanding that the rest of Australia now must believe what they believe about human sexuality and pretend that it is marriage is going too far.
In return for imposing this on Australians, they (Bill Shorten and comrades) only offer intimidation, name calling, bullying, persecution, discrimination, fines, and potentially eventually prison for anyone who opposes their view. That is not a very good deal for a country which has been given freedoms bought with the blood of the Anzacs.
Please ACT NOW. Australia is worth defending.
Every child comes from and needs BOTH a mother and a father. Same-sex "marriage" intentionally keeps either a mother or a father from the child. Government should protect the child through upholding traditional marriage.
Please Speak Up Australia. Defend children and freedom. Say NO to the proposition to change marriage laws.
