“If you’re unhappy with a company that’s involved with the (pro-homosexual marriage) campaign you won’t be able to bank and you won’t be able to fly anywhere,” So states QANTAS CEO Mr Alan Joyce said.
This "really should set off alarm bells. This is a threat. This is blackmail. He is telling everyone who does not support the radical homosexual agenda that they can basically drop dead.
He had the gall to say that anyone who disagrees with his agenda will not be able to fly or bank! Now either this is hyperbole, or he has some inside knowledge that we are not privy to. Does he know what other airlines and banks are saying on this? Is there diabolical collusion in all this?
If even just some of this is true then it is shocking indeed. Here we have an amoral and immoral corporate world joining together to wage a war against faith, freedom and family. They are threatening everyone who affirms traditional marriage and family (which means billions of people around the world), telling them they have the power to keep them from flying or banking.
This is fascist blackmail. This is homosexual totalitarians run amok. This is the end of freedom, democracy and Christianity if these evil tyrants get their evil way. It is one thing for a small business owner to decide what products it might sell, and to whom. It is one thing for services to be offered based on some agreed upon values.
But this is no small business. This is a (huge) airline with huge monopolistic powers. For a corporate giant like this with government (protection) to make such despicable threats to anyone who dares to differ is the height of Big Brother statism.
And recall what he actually said: “It’s really about equality, how important it is for a business leader … to express our views on things”. Oh yeah, well what about my equality?
What about my right to express my view on things? What about the equality of millions of Christians and others? What about their freedom to share their point of view?
It seems that some are far more equal than others. Shame on the gaystapo elite. And then we have this interesting little fact: back in 2013 Qantas and Emirates formed an alliance. And in order to keep Muslims happy, Qantas banned pork on all European flights.
Oh, so Qantas is happy to discriminate in favour of Muslims and against everyone else. Um, where is the equality there Alan? Where is the right of non-Muslims to express their view on things when creeping sharia is now rampant at Qantas?
And tell us Alan, does Emirates approve of your pro-homosexual blackmail? Are they thrilled about your pro-sodomy policies? It will be interesting to see how all this pans out. And while we are on the topic of discrimination, it turns out that Qantas has long had policies of sex discrimination.
For example they have had a policy of not allowing adult male passengers to be seated next to unaccompanied children. This was challenged by civil libertarian groups who accused Qantas of discrimination. Hmm, so let me get this straight: Joyce thinks it is wrong to discriminate on the basis of sex when it comes to homosexual marriage, but for some reason he is quite happy to discriminate on the basis of sex in other areas. A bit of consistency here would be nice Alan.
But I am not alone in my concerns. Angela Shanahan also weighed into this and she is well worth quoting from:"

Every child comes from and needs BOTH a mother and a father. Same-sex "marriage" intentionally keeps either a mother or a father from the child. Government should protect the child through upholding traditional marriage.

True marriage offers true equality for children. Every child comes from and needs BOTH a Mum and a Dad. Every human being has dignity and deserves respect. All sorts of relationships can be respected at law without having to change marriage laws. In fact that has been the case legally for many years. The simple fact remains though that not every relationship is marriage.
